| School Governors |

Our School Governors
The Governors of the school are responsible for the staffing, finance, premises, curriculum and future planning of the school. The Governors work very closely with the Headteacher in making decisions about the school.
At Rhiwbina Primary School there are 17 Governors:
- 5 are elected by the parents
- 4 are local authority appointees
- 4 are co-opted by the Governors
- 3 are elected by the staff of the school.
The Headteacher is also a Governor. Elections for Parent Governors occur every 4 years. The Chairperson of the Governors can be contacted through the school office.
Message from Andrew James, Chair of Governors
My name is Andrew James and I'm the newly elected Chair of Governors at Rhiwbina Primary School. As Chair of Governors I have two roles. First is to give guidance and suport to our head teacher, Carol Harry, and to the senior management team. Secondly, I, along with our clerk, co-ordinate the school governing body, its priorities, meetings and regular duties.
The school governors, along with the staff, work hard to maintain the highest standards in our school and I would like to thank them all for their time, dedication and commitment to the education of our children.
Rhiwbina Primary is a school to be proud of, where each and every pupil is helped to achieve their potential. Working together as staff, parents, governors and pupils, we can ensure the best possible education for our children.
