Wecome to Year 2
We are green!
You'll find us in the green corridor and everything in our classrooms is green! You can find us close to the big hall so we're never late for assemblies and the smells from the kitchen get our tummies
rumbling! We look out onto the courtyard so we can enjoy looking at all the things the gardening club have planted.
In year two we have six amazing topics that help us learn lots of new things. We especially love making moon buggies and photo frames.In the summer term , we work on an exciting story project. We act out our ideas, write different chapters for our story and then publish our books. We also get busy making fairy cakes in our Magic and Mystery topic!
Our trips are great! We have fun on our all day trip to Swansea Museum where we find out about how transpor has changed and we go to Maestir School at St Fagans where we dress up as Victorian school children. We learn to work together and share our resources.
We enjoy taking home story books written by our class authors and from the school library. Our teachers challenge us to find out more about our topics at home.
In year two we can start playing a musical instrument and have lessons in school. We can choose the drums, the recorder, the guitar or the piano. We can learn wind instruments when our second teeth come through!
